Description
“Herbal” is the word the IQOS UAE store uses for TEREA Silver, and it causes more confusion than any other descriptor in the range. It does not mean the stick is herbal tea, and it does not mean it is tobacco free. Silver contains tobacco like every other TEREA.
IQOS describes it in two words instead: “Refined and toasted”. Read the two labels together and the picture is clearer. Silver is a light, dry tobacco with a green, leafy edge rather than a nut or cocoa one.
This is the UAE edition pack, sold in the market where IQOS itself lists these variants. Silver is usually the pick for people who want the least aroma in the range.
What does TEREA Silver actually taste like?
Start with what IQOS actually publishes. IQOS: “Refined and toasted”. IQOS UAE: “Herbal”. That is the full set of official wording for this variant, and it is shorter than most.
“Refined” points at a clean, light tobacco with nothing heavy sitting on it. “Toasted” is the same warm base used across the tobacco range. “Herbal” tells you the aroma direction is green and leafy rather than nutty, woody or sweet.
What is not there matters too. No cocoa, no citrus, no menthol and no fruit are named anywhere in the official descriptions of Silver. It is the plainest stick in the UAE edition.
We also have to be straight about the gap. IQOS has not published intensity, body or aroma ratings for Silver, and it has not published a longer blend paragraph the way it has for Amber, Sienna, Teak and Yellow. Where other UAE shops fill that gap with invented numbers, this page marks it “Not published”.
How does Silver compare with the rest of the UAE tobacco range?
Silver is one of two regular tobacco sticks in this edition with no published ratings. The table below is honest about that instead of pretending otherwise.
| Variant | Official taste description | Intensity | Body | Aroma | Pick it if |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | “Refined and toasted” (IQOS), listed as “Herbal” by IQOS UAE | Not published | Not published | Not published | You want the plainest, cleanest tobacco |
| Yellow | Zesty aroma notes with a mellow tobacco blend | 3/5 | 2/5 | 5/5 | You want light body but a lot of aroma |
| Amber | Rounded, toasted tobacco with light woody and nutty aroma notes | 3/5 | 3/5 | 4/5 | You want the balanced everyday stick |
| Bronze | Mellow and aromatic tobacco with cocoa and dry fruit aroma notes | Not published | Not published | Not published | You want cocoa and dried fruit warmth |
| Teak | Rounded, toasted tobacco accompanied by nutty aromas | 4/5 | 3/5 | 4/5 | You want a stronger, nut-forward stick |
| Sienna | Rounded, toasted tobacco with light tea and woody aroma notes | 4/5 | 4/5 | 3/5 | You want the heaviest body of the six |
The nearest stick on paper is TEREA Yellow, which also has a light character but carries a published 5/5 aroma from its zesty note. Silver has no citrus at all, so if you like Yellow’s weight but not its lift, Silver is the swap.
In the other direction, TEREA Amber adds woody and nutty aroma at 3/5 intensity, and TEREA Bronze adds cocoa and dried fruit. Both give you more to taste than Silver does. That is the trade you are making.
What does the UAE edition actually change?
The edition is the market a pack was produced for. It sets the artwork, the printed language and which health warnings appear on the box.
It matters more here than on most sites, because the UAE is one of the markets where IQOS sells TEREA officially. The word “Herbal” for Silver comes from that local IQOS UAE listing. It is not a phrase we or another retailer made up, and it is not translated from a European page.
The blend is not edition specific. IQOS publishes the same blend description for a flavour name across markets, and PMI has issued no statement that a blend is reformulated country by country. Silver from Armenia and Silver from Kazakhstan are described in the same terms.

Which devices does TEREA Silver work with?
IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA i devices only. No other device is covered by IQOS for TEREA.
A metal element sits inside each stick and the device heats it by induction. Nothing pierces the tobacco, so there is no residue in the holder afterwards.
Blade devices are excluded for that reason. IQOS warns that using TEREA in IQOS ORIGINALS or ORIGINALS ONE may damage the device.
Have a look at the IQOS ILUMA range and the IQOS ILUMA i range. Our compatible device list names every model that takes a TEREA stick if you are checking one you already own.
What is in the pack and how long does one stick last?
A pack holds 20 sticks and a carton holds 10 packs, giving 200 sticks.
Each stick is one session of up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first. On ILUMA i, roughly 20 seconds of preheating runs before the session begins.
IQOS does not publish a per-stick nicotine figure for Silver, so we do not print one. This is the same variant with no published ratings, and the “0.5 mg” number that appears on other UAE listings has no official source for it. Our post on nicotine per TEREA stick sets out what is and is not documented.
Tar, weight and pack dimensions follow the same rule. No official figure, no figure on the page.
How do you use a TEREA Silver stick?
Slide the stick into the ILUMA holder up to the printed line and start the device. There is nothing to twist and nothing to clean out afterwards.
Silver rewards slower puffs. There is less aroma to carry the session, so drawing hard mostly gives you heat rather than more taste.
The tobacco is heated and not burned, so IQOS states there is no smoke and no ash. Pull the stick out when the device signals the end and throw it away whole.
Who should pick Silver, and who should skip it?
Pick Silver if aroma is not what you want from a stick. It is the closest thing in this edition to plain tobacco, and it is the one people fall back on when a flavoured stick starts to feel like too much every day.
Skip it if you want something to taste. Amber, Bronze and Teak all carry a named aroma note, and Yellow carries the most at 5/5.
Skip it too if you need published numbers to choose. Silver has none, and we will not invent them. The Silver flavour family page shows which other editions carry this stick.
How should you store TEREA sticks in the UAE?
Room temperature and out of the sun is the whole rule. Cars, balconies and window sills are where packs get ruined in this climate.
Keep packs sealed until you use them and do not refrigerate. A dried out stick loses aroma first, which hits a light stick like Silver harder than a heavy one.
Our guide to storing TEREA in UAE heat covers how long a carton keeps well and what to watch for once a pack has been opened.
What else do buyers ask about TEREA Silver?
Does “Herbal” mean Silver has no tobacco?
No. Silver is a tobacco stick like every other TEREA. “Herbal” is the one-word aroma descriptor IQOS UAE uses on its store listing, and it points at a green, leafy aroma direction rather than at the contents of the stick.
Why is there no intensity rating for Silver?
IQOS has published its 5-point intensity, body and aroma ratings for only some variants. Silver is not one of them. Rather than estimate a score, we mark it as not published, which is what the manufacturer’s own material supports.
Is Silver the lightest TEREA?
We cannot say that as a fact, because there is no published rating for Silver to compare. What we can say is that the published wording, “refined and toasted” with a herbal note, describes the least aromatic stick in the UAE edition.
How much nicotine does a Silver stick contain?
IQOS does not publish a per-stick nicotine figure for this variant, so we do not print one. Listings that give an exact milligram number for Silver are repeating an unsourced figure rather than an official IQOS specification.
Does Silver have any menthol?
No. Silver is a regular tobacco stick with no cooling of any kind. The cooled options in the UAE edition are Blue, Turquoise, Purple Wave Menthol and Summer Breeze, which sit in the menthol part of the range.
How many sticks come in a carton?
A carton is 10 packs of 20 sticks, so 200 in total. Each stick is a single session of up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever ends first, and a used stick cannot be restarted.
How do you order TEREA Silver in Dubai?

Nicotine and age notice
TEREA sticks contain tobacco and nicotine. Nicotine is addictive and these products are not risk free.
They are intended only for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke or use nicotine. They are not for non-smokers, for anyone under 18, or for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not ingest or take apart a TEREA stick. IQOS warns that it contains a sharp metal part that can cause serious injury if swallowed, so keep packs out of reach of children. Our age policy sets out how we handle this.
Flavour names and descriptions relate to taste only. They do not indicate any difference in health risk between variants.
