LAMBDA i8 is a third party induction heating device, not an IQOS product. Lambda states it is compatible with TEREA and other SMARTCORE sticks.

We stock it in six colours. Lambda publishes the same specification sheet for all six, so the choice here is a finish decision.

Is LAMBDA i8 an IQOS product?

No. Lambda is a separate manufacturer. Lambda states its i-series is compatible with TEREA and other SMARTCORE sticks, which is Lambda’s own claim about its own device.

IQOS publishes compatibility only for its own ILUMA and ILUMA i devices and does not list any third party device. Those are two different companies describing their own products, and we are not going to let one speak for the other.

Nothing on this page implies i8 is official, authorised or endorsed by IQOS or Philip Morris International.

What do the six i8 colours actually change?

Only the finish. Black, Gold, Green, Grey, Red and White all share the same battery, the same temperature range and the same session length.

Pick whichever colour you would rather carry. None of them heats faster or lasts longer than another.

Is i8 actually different from i9 and i10?

Lambda publishes the same specification sheet for all three tiers. The table shows exactly what that means.

Three identical rows is not laziness on our part. On Lambda’s own numbers, i8 does everything i9 and i10 do. Anyone telling you the newer tier heats better or lasts longer is not quoting the manufacturer.

How does LAMBDA i8 compare with an IQOS ILUMA device?

The genuine difference is temperature and session control. i8 lets you set 200 to 300 C and a 3 to 6 minute session. IQOS ILUMA i runs a fixed session of up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first, with no user-set temperature.

IQOS’s own compatibility statement covers only its own devices. Lambda’s compatibility claim is Lambda’s own, stated separately above.

Which sticks does LAMBDA i8 take?

Lambda states the i8 is compatible with TEREA and other SMARTCORE sticks. This is an induction device, so it takes SMARTCORE sticks, not HEETS, which are a blade-heated format.

How long does the battery last on LAMBDA i8?

Lambda publishes 3200 mAh, giving 35 to 40 sessions per full charge, with a full charge taking about 2.5 hours.

Lambda does not publish how the temperature setting affects that session count, so we cannot tell you whether 300 C costs you sessions against 200 C.

Does LAMBDA i8 need cleaning?

No blade goes into the stick, since this is an induction device. Lambda publishes no approved cleaning product or schedule, so we invent neither.

What do buyers ask about LAMBDA i8?

Is i8 approved by IQOS for use with TEREA?

No, and nobody should tell you it is. IQOS publishes compatibility only for its own ILUMA and ILUMA i devices, and does not list Lambda anywhere. Lambda’s compatibility claim is a separate statement from a separate company.

Does i8 come with a warranty?

Neither company publishes a position we can quote here, so we are not going to invent a warranty term for either direction, whatever a retailer’s own listing happens to promise you.

Can I use i8 while it is charging?

Lambda does not publish a pass-through charging statement for the i8, so we cannot promise you it works safely, and we would rather tell you that plainly than guess at an answer.

Is i8 cheaper than i9 or i10 for the same performance?

On Lambda’s published numbers, yes. The specification sheet is identical across all three tiers, so i8 gives you the same battery and temperature range for a noticeably lower price in most listings.

Does i8 work with HEETS?

No, it does not. HEETS are a blade-heated stick format built for a different kind of device. i8 is an induction device built for SMARTCORE sticks like TEREA, not for blade-heated sticks.
