Description
TEREA Yellow holds the highest published aroma rating in the tobacco range. IQOS scores it 5/5 for aroma while giving it just 2/5 for body, the lightest of any stick in the UAE edition.
That gap is the whole character of the stick. There is plenty to taste and very little weight behind it. IQOS describes it as “zesty aroma notes that accompany a mellow blend of tobacco”, and shortens that to “Light & mellow” elsewhere and to “Zesty” on the IQOS UAE store.
It is the daytime stick for a lot of people here, and the one that suits anyone who found the toasted tobacco sticks too heavy.
What does TEREA Yellow actually taste like?
The official wording puts the aroma first and the tobacco second: “zesty aroma notes that accompany a mellow blend of tobacco”. That ordering is deliberate and it matches how the stick reads.
Zesty means citrus peel rather than juice. It is a bright, slightly sharp note, not a sweet one. Underneath it the tobacco stays soft and does not push forward.
The ratings confirm it. Aroma 5/5 is the top score published for any TEREA variant. Body 2/5 is the lowest in this edition. Intensity sits at 3/5, so it is not weak, just light.
One thing to correct before you order. IQOS UAE also labels Turquoise Menthol as “Zesty”, and the two get mixed up constantly. Yellow is a regular tobacco stick with no cooling at all. Turquoise is a menthol stick. The shared label refers to a citrus direction, not to menthol.
Which UAE stick gives you the most aroma?
Yellow does, on the published numbers. The table lays out all six regular tobacco sticks in the UAE edition, using the IQOS ratings where they exist and marking the two variants where they do not.
| Variant | Official taste description | Intensity | Body | Aroma | Pick it if |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yellow | Zesty aroma notes accompanying a mellow blend of tobacco | 3/5 | 2/5 | 5/5 | You want maximum aroma and minimum weight |
| Amber | Rounded, toasted tobacco with light woody and nutty aroma notes | 3/5 | 3/5 | 4/5 | You want the same strength with more body |
| Teak | Rounded, toasted tobacco accompanied by nutty aromas | 4/5 | 3/5 | 4/5 | You want a nut aroma and more strength |
| Sienna | Rounded, toasted tobacco with light tea and woody aroma notes | 4/5 | 4/5 | 3/5 | You want the heaviest stick in the edition |
| Bronze | Mellow and aromatic tobacco with cocoa and dry fruit aroma notes | Not published | Not published | Not published | You want cocoa and dried fruit warmth |
| Silver | “Refined and toasted”, listed as “Herbal” by IQOS UAE | Not published | Not published | Not published | You want almost no aroma at all |
The nearest stick by strength is TEREA Amber, which matches Yellow at 3/5 intensity but adds a point of body and swaps citrus for woody and nutty notes. That is the swap to make if Yellow feels too thin.
At the other end, TEREA Silver has no published ratings and no named aroma beyond a herbal direction. It is the opposite choice to Yellow: as little aroma as this edition offers. We mark Silver and Bronze as not published rather than filling those cells with numbers nobody has released.
What does the UAE edition actually change?
An edition is the market a pack was produced for. The pack artwork, printed language and health warnings all follow from that market’s rules.
The UAE case is worth spelling out, because IQOS sells TEREA here through its own store. The one-word descriptors we use, “Zesty” for Yellow among them, are taken from that local listing rather than from a European or Asian IQOS site.
The blend is not edition specific. IQOS publishes one blend description per flavour name across markets and PMI has never stated that a blend is reformulated per country. Yellow from Armenia and Yellow from Kazakhstan are described in the same terms as this pack.
So the edition choice comes down to pack and availability. Our editions compared guide covers what differs between markets, and the TEREA UAE collection holds every variant sold here.
Which devices does TEREA Yellow work with?
IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA i devices only. TEREA is not designed for anything else.
Each stick contains a metal element the device heats by induction. Nothing is pushed into the tobacco, so nothing is left in the holder to clean.
That is why blade devices are excluded. IQOS warns that using TEREA in IQOS ORIGINALS or ORIGINALS ONE may damage the device.
The IQOS ILUMA page and the IQOS ILUMA i page cover the current models, and the compatible device list is the quickest way to check a device you already own.
What is in the pack and how long does one stick last?
Each pack holds 20 sticks. A carton is 10 packs, which makes 200 sticks.
A session lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first. ILUMA i adds around 20 seconds of preheating before the session begins.
IQOS does not publish a per-stick nicotine figure for Yellow, so we do not print one. The “0.5 mg” figure carried by most UAE retail listings is not an official IQOS specification for this variant. Our post on nicotine per TEREA stick explains what the number actually refers to and why it spread.
Tar, weight and pack dimensions are handled the same way. No published figure means no figure here, even where a competitor has one.
How do you use a TEREA Yellow stick?
Slide the stick into the ILUMA holder up to the printed line and start the device. Nothing to twist and nothing to clean afterwards.
The light body means Yellow suits a shorter, easier session than a 4/5 stick. Some people find they stop before the device does, which is fine.
The tobacco is heated and not burned, so IQOS states there is no smoke and no ash. Take the stick out at the end signal and throw it away whole.
Who should pick Yellow, and who should skip it?
Pick Yellow if you want flavour without weight. It is the easiest stick in the edition to have several times a day, and it is a sensible first pack for anyone new to ILUMA, which our first time buying checklist covers in more detail.
Skip it if you want a heavy tobacco hit. At 2/5 body it will feel thin next to Sienna or Teak. Skip it too if citrus is not something you want in a tobacco stick.
If you like Yellow but want cooling as well, TEREA Turquoise is the menthol stick IQOS UAE also labels “Zesty”. The Yellow flavour family page lists the other editions this stick comes in.
How should you store TEREA sticks in the UAE?
Keep packs indoors at room temperature and away from direct sun. Cars, balconies and window ledges are where cartons get damaged in this climate.
Leave the foil sealed until you open a pack and do not refrigerate. Aroma is the first thing lost when a stick dries out, which matters more here than on any other stick in the edition.
Our guide to storing TEREA in UAE heat goes through what heat and dryness actually do and how quickly it happens.
What else do buyers ask about TEREA Yellow?
Is Yellow a menthol stick?
No. Yellow is regular tobacco with no cooling. The confusion comes from IQOS UAE using “Zesty” for both Yellow and Turquoise Menthol. That label describes a citrus direction, and only Turquoise is a menthol stick.
Why does Yellow have a 5/5 aroma rating?
Because the citrus note is the loudest part of the stick. IQOS publishes aroma 5/5 for Yellow alongside body 2/5, which means a lot of aroma sitting on a very light tobacco base rather than a strong stick.
Is Yellow good for someone new to IQOS?
It is one of the easier starting points. At 3/5 intensity and 2/5 body it is the lightest option in this edition, so it tends to feel less harsh than Sienna or Teak for anyone switching over for the first time.
How much nicotine is in a Yellow stick?
IQOS does not publish a per-stick nicotine figure for this variant, so we do not print one. UAE listings that show an exact milligram number are repeating an unsourced figure rather than an official IQOS specification.
Does the UAE Yellow differ from the Armenian one?
Not in how IQOS describes it. The same blend description is published for Yellow across markets, and PMI has made no statement about country reformulation. Pack artwork, printed language and health warnings are what change.
How many sticks are in a pack and a carton?
Twenty sticks per pack and ten packs per carton, so 200 sticks in a carton. Each stick gives a single session of up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first, and cannot be restarted afterwards.

Nicotine and age notice
TEREA sticks contain tobacco and nicotine. Nicotine is addictive and these products are not risk free.
They are intended only for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke or use nicotine. They are not for non-smokers, for anyone under 18, or for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not ingest or take apart a TEREA stick. IQOS warns that it contains a sharp metal part that can cause serious injury if swallowed, so keep packs out of reach of children. Our age policy sets out how we handle this.
Flavour names and descriptions relate to taste only. They do not indicate any difference in health risk between variants.
