Description

TEREA Rich Regular is the fullest plain tobacco stick in the Japanese TEREA line up. There is no menthol and no capsule in it, just a deeper roasted body than the rest of the Regular family.

This is the Japan market edition, so the pack is printed for Japanese shops and the health warnings on it are in Japanese. It suits anyone who has tried a standard tobacco stick and found it thin, and anyone who used to smoke a full flavour cigarette.

What does TEREA Rich Regular actually taste like?

IQOS Japan describes it as a stick that harmonises roastily blended tobacco leaves with a satisfying malt aroma. That is the official Japanese wording in English, and it is the only flavour claim we treat as official.

Malt is the word that matters here, and it is worth being clear about it. Malt is not sugar and this is not a sweet stick.

Malt tastes like the crust of dark bread or the dry end of a stout, a deep bready note with a faint toasted sweetness behind it. It sits under the tobacco rather than on top of it, which is why the stick reads as full instead of flavoured.

The body is the heaviest of the five Regular sticks Japan sells. The draw feels thicker in the mouth and the aftertaste stays longer than it does on a standard tobacco stick.

How Rich Regular tastes, section by section
Toasted tobacco body

Nutty or tea note

Cooling or menthol

This is our own tasting read of the blend. IQOS Japan shows flavour bars but publishes no numbers, so this is not an official rating.

Where does Rich Regular sit in the Japan TEREA range?

Japan sells five plain tobacco sticks, and Rich Regular is the heaviest of them. Every other stick in the family is described by IQOS Japan as mellow, rounded or smooth, and only this one is described with malt.

If Rich Regular turns out to be more than you want, the step down is TEREA Regular Japan, the middle reference point of the family with nutty and woody aromas instead of malt.

For something softer again, TEREA Warm Regular Japan is called mellow in the official wording. There is nothing fuller than Rich Regular in the Japanese tobacco family, so this is the top of that ladder.

What does the Japan edition change?

Japan uses a different naming system from the international range. Japan sells Regular, Rich Regular, Smooth Regular, Warm Regular and Balanced Regular, while the international range sells Amber, Russet, Sienna, Teak and Silver.

UAE shops stock both systems side by side and rarely explain it, which is how people end up with a stick they did not want. Here is the comparison that matters for this pack.

The official Japanese wording for Rich Regular uses malt. The official international wording for Russet also uses malty, and calls the blend rich, toasted and bold. Malt is the shared word, and it is the clearest signal of which international name lines up with this one.

That is a comparison of two official descriptions and nothing more. IQOS publishes no official mapping between the Japanese names and the international names, so we will not claim these are confirmed to be the same blend.

We do not currently list a Russet pack, so if you want an international edition instead you can browse the Kazakhstan TEREA editions or look through every flavour we carry in the TEREA flavour index.

Apart from the name and the Japanese pack text, nothing about the format changes. Same stick size, same 20 sticks per pack, same ILUMA compatibility.

You are buying sticks only. No device, no charger, no cleaning tool and no accessory comes in the carton, so you need an ILUMA device already.

How do you use TEREA Rich Regular?

1
Charge the device. Make sure the holder and the pocket charger have enough power for a full session.
2
Open the pack. Take out one stick and close the lid so the rest stay sealed from air and heat.
3
Insert it fully. Push the stick into the holder up to the printed line, and do not force it further.
4
Wait for the signal. The device heats on its own and vibrates or lights up when the stick is ready.
5
Finish and remove. You get up to 14 puffs. Pull the used stick out and bin it, never try to relight it.

ILUMA devices heat the stick with an induction coil inside the tobacco, so there is no blade. That means no cleaning sticks and nothing to scrape between sessions.

Which devices does TEREA Rich Regular work with?

TEREA works with the IQOS ILUMA series only. That is ILUMA Standard, ILUMA One and ILUMA Prime, plus ILUMA i Standard, ILUMA i One and ILUMA i Prime.

Older blade devices will not work with it. A TEREA stick has no tobacco plug for a blade to enter, and pushing one into a blade holder can damage the device.

If you need a device, see the IQOS ILUMA range or the newer IQOS ILUMA i range with the touch screen and Pause mode.

Who should pick Rich Regular, and who should skip it?

Pick it if a standard tobacco stick feels thin or watery to you. This is the one to buy when you want weight in the draw and a long aftertaste, with no menthol and no fruit.

Skip it if you prefer a light everyday stick, because the malt note can feel heavy over a full day. TEREA Balanced Regular Japan is the far lighter end of the same family.

Skip it too if you actually want cooling. For that, go to TEREA Black Menthol Japan, which IQOS Japan describes as a strong menthol built on intensely cooling menthol.

How should you store TEREA Rich Regular in the UAE?

Heat and humidity are what spoil a carton here. Tobacco dries out above roughly 30 degrees and the malt aroma is the first thing to fade.

Keep packs sealed and indoors, in a cupboard or a drawer away from sunlight. Do not leave a carton in a parked car, on a balcony or on a windowsill in summer.

Open one pack at a time and keep the lid closed between sticks. A carton kept properly holds its aroma for months, which matters when you buy 200 sticks at once.

What else is worth trying from the Japan range?

Roasted body with a black tea note, lighter than the malt of Rich Regular.
Still no menthol, but raspberry and faint floral aromas over mellow tobacco.
Deep menthol coolness with peppermint and creamy aromas in the official wording.

Every Japanese pack we stock sits on the TEREA Japan collection page, and you can compare all editions in the wider TEREA sticks catalogue.

How do you order TEREA Rich Regular in Dubai?

Add the carton to your cart and finish checkout with your address and phone number. Our team confirms the order before it goes out for delivery.

Delivery times, areas and charges are listed in our shipping and delivery policy. Orders are for adults only, as set out in our age policy, and the courier may ask for ID.

When it arrives, check that the carton seal is intact, that all 10 packs are inside and that the pack text is Japanese. If anything is wrong, reach us through the contact page the same day and read the refund policy for what happens next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TEREA Rich Regular the same as TEREA Russet?

We cannot say they are the same blend. Both official descriptions use malt, and Russet is also called rich, toasted and bold, so the wording lines up more clearly here than on most pairs. IQOS still publishes no official mapping between the two naming systems.

Does malt mean this stick is sweet?

No. Malt in the official wording points to a deep bready note, closer to dark bread crust or stout than to sugar. There is a faint toasted sweetness behind the tobacco, but nobody would call Rich Regular a sweet or flavoured stick.

Is Rich Regular the strongest TEREA in Japan?

It is the fullest of the plain tobacco sticks Japan sells, which is what most buyers mean by strongest. Nicotine is still approximately 0.5 mg per stick, the same as the rest of the range, so the difference is in body and aroma.

Does the Japanese pack text change anything?

No. The pack is printed for the Japanese market, so the brand text and health warnings are in Japanese, but the stick inside is the same format and the same nicotine level. Only the printed pack differs from other editions.

Does IQOS publish a strength number for it?

No. IQOS Japan shows flavour bars for strength, body, aroma and menthol feel, but it publishes no number and no scale maximum. Any shop quoting a figure out of five has invented it, so only relative order can be compared.

What happens if I use it in an older blade device?

It will not work. TEREA sticks are made for induction heating and carry a metal element inside rather than a plug for a blade. Forcing one into a blade holder risks bending the blade and damaging the device.

Nicotine and age notice

This product contains nicotine, which is addictive. It is intended for adult smokers who would otherwise keep smoking or using nicotine, and it is not a quit smoking aid.

Sales are restricted to adults of legal smoking age. Do not use this product if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under the legal age, or if you have never used nicotine before.
