Description
TEREA Bold Regular is a Japan market stick from the TEREA Regular family, sold here as a full carton of ten sealed packs. The pack is printed for Japanese retail, so the text and health warnings on it are in Japanese.
It is a heated tobacco stick for the IQOS ILUMA series only. This page reads differently from the rest of our Japan range, because of one fact you should know before you buy.
What does TEREA Bold Regular actually taste like?
We cannot tell you, and nor can anyone else selling it in the UAE. IQOS Japan announced that Bold Regular would stop being sold in Japan from late December 2023, once retailer stock ran out.
Since then the official IQOS Japan product page no longer carries a flavour description for it. So there is no official sentence left to translate and explain, as we do on every other Japan page here.
Other UAE shops still publish confident tasting copy for this stick. We will not repeat it, because none of it traces back to IQOS Japan.
It sits in the Regular family, so it is tobacco led, with no menthol and no capsule.
The carton is the standard Japan format of 10 packs of 20 sticks, which is 200 sticks.
The pack carries Japanese market text and Japanese health warnings.
IQOS Japan ended sales in Japan from late December 2023 as retail stock ran out.
Any aroma note such as malt, nut, cocoa or wood, which other sites state as fact.
Any strength, body or aroma rating, official or numeric.
Any named international equivalent, because the wording needed for that comparison is gone.
We would rather publish a short honest page than a long invented one. If IQOS Japan republishes wording for Bold Regular, we will add it here and say where it came from.
Where does Bold Regular sit in the Japan TEREA range?
It sits inside the Regular family, alongside the sticks below. Its flavour cells stay empty rather than guessed, and the rest carry real official wording.
| Stick | Range | Official flavour wording | Wording in the other range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bold Regular | Japan | No official wording published | No official wording published |
| Rich Regular | Japan | Harmonises roastily blended tobacco leaves with a satisfying malt aroma | Russet, a rich toasted tobacco blend with malty aromas and bold taste |
| Regular | Japan | Harmonises the roasted yet rounded flavour of tobacco leaves with faint nutty and woody aromas | Amber, rounded, toasted tobacco blend with light woody and nutty aroma notes |
| Smooth Regular | Japan | Harmonises the roasted yet rounded flavour of tobacco leaves with faint black tea and woody aromas | Sienna, rounded, toasted tobacco blend with woody and light tea aroma notes |
| Warm Regular | Japan | Harmonises mellow tobacco leaves with a roasted nutty aroma | Teak, rounded, toasted tobacco blend with nutty aromas |
| Russet | International | A rich toasted tobacco blend with malty aromas and bold taste | Rich Regular in Japan uses close malt wording |
If you want the fullest tobacco taste that IQOS Japan still describes in its own words, go to TEREA Rich Regular Japan. If you want the middle of the family, the plain TEREA Regular Japan is the reference point.
For something softer, TEREA Smooth Regular Japan and TEREA Warm Regular Japan both sit below Rich Regular on body.
What does the Japan edition change?
Japan runs its own naming system for TEREA. Japan sells Regular, Rich Regular, Smooth Regular, Balanced Regular, Warm Regular and Ruby Regular, while the international range sells Amber, Sienna, Russet, Teak, Silver and Yellow.
Because the names do not overlap, UAE buyers order the wrong stick often. Bold Regular is a Japan only name, so no international pack carries that word.
The pack itself is built for Japanese retail. The front text, the variant name and the health warnings are printed in Japanese.
On our other Japan pages we line up the official Japanese wording against the official international wording and say how close the two read. We cannot do that here, because the Japanese side of the comparison is gone, and IQOS publishes no official mapping anyway.
If you want a Regular stick whose wording we can compare properly, TEREA Amber Kazakhstan reads very close to Japan Regular, and TEREA Amber UAE is the same flavour name in a locally printed pack.
One more thing follows from the withdrawal. Stock is finite and no new production is coming, so when ours is gone this listing will not refill. Treat it as a last chance buy, not a regular reorder.
What is inside the box?
The carton weighs about 240 grams and measures roughly 162 x 75 x 47 mm, so it stores flat in a drawer.
No device, charger, cable or accessory is included. This is sticks only, so you need an ILUMA device already. If you do not have one, start at the IQOS ILUMA device range.
How do you use TEREA Bold Regular?
ILUMA devices heat from the inside, so there is no blade. That means no cleaning sticks and no brushing out a chamber.
Which devices does TEREA Bold Regular work with?
TEREA works with the IQOS ILUMA series only. That is ILUMA Standard, ILUMA One and ILUMA Prime, plus ILUMA i Standard, ILUMA i One and ILUMA i Prime.
Older blade devices will not work. IQOS Originals and the 2.4 or 3 DUO family heat with a blade and have no induction coil, so a TEREA stick has nothing to heat it. Lambda devices are the same.
See the newer generation in the IQOS ILUMA i device range, and the full stick catalogue under TEREA sticks.
Who should pick Bold Regular, and who should skip it?
Pick it if you collect Japan market packs, or if you liked this stick before it was withdrawn and want the remaining stock.
Skip it if you want to know exactly what you are getting before you pay. With no published wording, the first pack is an experiment.
Skip it too if you need something you can reorder for months. Pick TEREA Balanced Regular Japan or TEREA Ruby Regular Japan instead.
How should you store TEREA Bold Regular in the UAE?
Heat and humidity dry out a stick and flatten its taste. Keep the carton sealed, indoors and out of direct sun.
Never leave a pack in a parked car, on a balcony or on a windowsill in summer. A drawer at room temperature is enough, and a fridge is not needed because condensation does more harm than good.
What else is worth trying from the Japan range?
Every Japan name we stock sits in the TEREA Japan collection, so compare them there before you commit to a carton.
How do you order TEREA Bold Regular in Dubai?
Add the carton to your cart and finish at checkout. Because stock is limited, order the quantity you actually want in one go.
Delivery timing and coverage across Dubai are set out in our shipping and delivery policy. Orders are for adults only, see our age policy.
On arrival, check the carton is shrink wrapped, the ten packs are intact and the printing is Japanese. If anything looks wrong, read our refund policy and message us through contact us the same day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there no flavour description for TEREA Bold Regular?
Because IQOS Japan removed it. The company announced that Bold Regular would stop being sold in Japan from late December 2023 once retailer stock ran out, and the official product page no longer carries flavour wording. Rather than invent a description, we publish what is still confirmed.
Is TEREA Bold Regular still being made?
Not for the Japanese market. Sales there ended from late December 2023 as retail stock cleared, so what circulates now is existing stock. That is why we call this listing finite and name the sticks to move to.
Which Japan stick should I buy instead when this sells out?
Stay in the Regular family. Rich Regular is the fullest on official malt wording, plain Regular is the reference point with nutty and woody notes, and Smooth Regular adds a black tea note. All three are still described.
Does the Japanese pack text change the stick inside?
No. Japanese printing and Japanese health warnings are a labelling requirement for that market, not a different recipe. What it does tell you is that the pack was made for Japanese retail rather than for Gulf distribution.
Can I use it in an IQOS Originals or Lambda device?
No. TEREA is built for induction heating, so it needs an ILUMA or ILUMA i device. A blade device cannot heat the metal element inside the stick, and forcing one in risks damaging the heater.
How long does one carton last?
A carton holds 200 sticks. At ten sticks a day that is about twenty days, and at five a day around forty. Work from your own daily count, especially with a product that will not be restocked.
