Most people arrive at TEREA Blue looking for one thing: cold. It is the peppermint stick in the range, and IQOS sums it up in two words, “Intense Peppermint”.
This is the UAE edition. The IQOS UAE store carries Blue as one of its menthol options and labels it “Minty”, which is the shortest description any market gives it.
Blue is the only stick in the UAE regular menthol group built around peppermint rather than a fruit note. If you used to smoke menthol cigarettes and you do not want berry or citrus in the mix, this is the one.
What does TEREA Blue actually taste like?
Three IQOS markets describe Blue and they line up. One calls it “Intense Peppermint”. IQOS UAE lists it as “Minty”. IQOS Indonesia goes longer: a real tobacco blend with cold menthol, enriched with peppermint.
Put those together and you get the shape of the stick. There is a tobacco base underneath, cold menthol over it, and peppermint as the named aroma on top. Peppermint is sharper and more direct than spearmint, which is why Blue reads as the cold one.
The cooling is present from the first puff rather than building slowly. It does not fade much either, so the last puffs are close to as cold as the first.
One correction worth making. Several UAE listings describe Blue as a “menthol tobacco” and stop there, which puts it in the same bracket as every other cooled stick. The official wording is more specific: peppermint is named, and it is the aroma that separates Blue from the rest.
How does Blue compare with the other UAE menthol sticks?
The UAE edition has three cooled sticks alongside Blue. IQOS has not published 5-point intensity, body or aroma ratings for any of them, so the table below leaves those numbers out entirely rather than making them up. The character column is read straight from the official wording.

The useful split is peppermint versus fruit. Blue and TEREA Turquoise are the two mint-led sticks, and Blue is clearly the stronger of the pair: “intense” against “mellow” in IQOS’s own wording.

What does the UAE edition actually change?
A country edition is the market a pack was produced for. That sets the artwork, the printed language and the health warnings on the pack.
The UAE is one of the markets where IQOS sells TEREA through its own store, so the short descriptors on this site come from the local listing. “Minty” for Blue and “Fresh & Forest Berry” for Purple Wave Menthol are UAE market wording, not translated from a European page.
The blend itself is not market specific. IQOS publishes the same blend description for a flavour name across markets, and PMI has never stated that a blend is reformulated per country. Blue from Kazakhstan and Blue from Indonesia are described in the same terms.

Which devices does TEREA Blue work with?
Blue works in IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA i devices, and nothing else.
Inside each stick is a metal element that the device heats by induction. No blade enters the stick, so there is no residue and nothing to scrape out between sessions.
That also means blade devices are out. IQOS warns that using TEREA in IQOS ORIGINALS or ORIGINALS ONE may damage the device.

What is in the pack and how long does one stick last?
Each pack holds 20 sticks. A carton is 10 packs, which comes to 200 sticks.
One session lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever arrives first. On ILUMA i there is around 20 seconds of preheating before that starts.
IQOS does not publish a per-stick nicotine figure for Blue, so we do not print one. The “0.5 mg” number you will see repeated on other UAE sites is not an official IQOS specification for this variant. Our article on nicotine per TEREA stick explains what that figure actually refers to.

How do you use a TEREA Blue stick?
Push the stick into the ILUMA holder up to the printed line and start the device. Nothing to twist, nothing to clean afterwards.
Because the cooling does not build up gradually, there is no need to pace yourself differently than with a tobacco stick. Take normal puffs and let the device time the session.
The tobacco is heated and not burned, so IQOS states there is no smoke and no ash. Remove the stick when the device signals the end and throw it away whole.
Who should pick Blue, and who should skip it?
Pick Blue if you want the coldest, most direct mint in the UAE edition. It suits anyone coming off menthol cigarettes and anyone who finds Turquoise too soft.
Skip it if you like a little sweetness with your cooling. Purple Wave Menthol adds forest berry, and Summer Breeze goes fruit first. Skip it too if you want plain tobacco, since the peppermint is not subtle.

How should you store TEREA sticks in the UAE?
Store packs indoors at room temperature, out of direct sun. A glovebox or a dashboard in a Dubai summer gets hot enough to be a real problem.
Keep the foil sealed until you open a pack. Do not refrigerate, and do not leave a half used pack open, because dried sticks pull differently and lose aroma.

What else do buyers ask about TEREA Blue?
Is Blue stronger in cooling than Turquoise?
Going by official wording, yes. IQOS describes Blue as “Intense Peppermint” and Turquoise as “Mellow refreshment”. Those are the manufacturer’s own words, and they place Blue clearly above Turquoise on cooling within the UAE menthol group.
Does IQOS publish intensity ratings for Blue?
No. The published 5-point intensity, body and aroma ratings cover a handful of tobacco variants only. Blue is not among them, so we mark those figures as not published rather than estimating them ourselves.
Is Blue the same as Green?
No. Blue is described with peppermint, Green with spearmint. IQOS calls Green “Balanced spearmint” and Blue “Intense Peppermint”. Peppermint reads sharper and colder, spearmint softer and rounder, so they are different sticks.
How much menthol is in each stick?
IQOS does not publish a menthol content figure for TEREA sticks, so we do not quote one. The only official guidance is the aroma wording, which for Blue names cold menthol enriched with peppermint.
Will Blue work in my IQOS 3 DUO?
No. TEREA sticks fit IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA i only. IQOS warns that putting a TEREA stick into an ORIGINALS or ORIGINALS ONE device may damage it, because those heat with a blade instead of induction.
