Terea Black Yellow Menthol Japan

Description

TEREA Black Yellow Menthol is the Japan market citrus menthol, built for IQOS ILUMA devices only. It comes in a Japanese pack of 20 sticks, and we sell it as a sealed carton of 10 packs.

It is the coldest stick in the Japan menthol family and the one to pick if you want citrus that cuts rather than sweetens. In IQOS Japan wording it is the strong version of Yellow Menthol.

What does TEREA Black Yellow Menthol actually taste like?

IQOS Japan describes it as a strong menthol woven from intensely cold menthol and a bracing citrus aroma. That is the official Japanese wording translated into English, and it is all IQOS publishes about the blend.

In plain terms, the cold arrives first and the citrus rides on top of it. The citrus reads sharp and peel like rather than sweet, closer to lemon zest than to orange juice.

The tobacco stays in the background. This is a stick where cooling and aroma do the work, so treat it as a menthol first and a tobacco second.

Where does Black Yellow Menthol sit in the Japan TEREA range?

It sits at the cold end. Mint is the gentlest stick in the Japan range, the plain menthols hold the middle, and the Black variants sit above them because IQOS Japan calls them strong menthol.

For something lighter with the same citrus idea, TEREA Yellow Menthol Japan is the refreshing menthol version, and TEREA Mint Japan is gentler again.

For the same cold with a quieter aroma, TEREA Black Menthol Japan keeps the fruit faint. The whole cold end sits in our Black Menthol collection.

What does the Japan edition change?

The pack is made for the Japanese home market, so the pack text and the health warnings are printed in Japanese. The sticks themselves behave exactly as any other TEREA in an ILUMA device.

This is the cleanest pair in the whole Japan range, and it shows how the Black system works. Put the two official lines next to each other and the change is obvious.

Yellow Menthol is a refreshing menthol harmonising citrus and herb aromas. Black Yellow Menthol is a strong menthol woven from intensely cold menthol and a bracing citrus aroma.

Notice what happens to the herb note. It is named in the Yellow Menthol description and it is gone from the Black wording, which is replaced by the harder word bracing on the citrus.

Now the warning that costs UAE buyers money. The international TEREA Yellow is officially a mellow tobacco blend with zesty aroma notes, with no menthol in it at all, so the word Yellow means two very different things across the two ranges.

If you want an international menthol instead, TEREA Turquoise is the zesty one, described as a lightly toasted tobacco blend with crisp menthol cooling. Compare the yellow named sticks side by side in our yellow flavour collection before ordering. IQOS publishes no official mapping between the ranges, so these are wording comparisons only.

What is inside the box?

The carton weighs about 240 grams and measures 162 by 75 by 47 millimetres. Each stick holds approximately 0.5 mg of nicotine and gives up to 14 puffs.

To be clear about what is not here, no device, charger, cable or accessory is included. You are buying sticks only, so you need an ILUMA device already.

How do you use TEREA Black Yellow Menthol?

There is no blade inside an ILUMA device, so there are no cleaning sticks to buy and nothing to scrape between sessions. The heating element sits inside the stick and leaves with it.

Which devices does TEREA Black Yellow Menthol work with?

TEREA works with the IQOS ILUMA series only. That means ILUMA Standard, ILUMA One and ILUMA Prime, plus ILUMA i Standard, ILUMA i One and ILUMA i Prime.

Older blade based IQOS devices will not work with TEREA. The sticks carry the heating element inside, so the two systems are not interchangeable.

If you still need hardware, compare the IQOS ILUMA range against the newer IQOS ILUMA i range before ordering sticks in volume.

Who should pick Black Yellow Menthol, and who should skip it?

Pick it if you already smoke citrus menthols and find them fading after the first few puffs. The intensely cold base holds the citrus up for the whole stick.

Pick it also if you want aroma with your cold rather than plain cold. Among the Black variants this is the most clearly flavoured one.

Skip it if you want the herb side of Yellow Menthol, because that note is not in this description. Skip it too if sharp citrus on top of heavy cooling sounds like too much at once.

If menthol is not your thing at all, TEREA Regular Japan is a roasted, rounded tobacco with faint nutty and woody aromas and no cooling.

How should you store TEREA Black Yellow Menthol in the UAE?

Heat and humidity are what spoil menthol sticks here. Keep the carton sealed, indoors and out of direct sun, ideally in an air conditioned room rather than a storage cupboard.

Never leave a pack in a parked car or on a balcony. A closed car in Dubai gets hot enough to dry the stick and dull both the cold and the citrus.

What else is worth trying from the Japan range?

Every Japanese variant we stock is listed on the TEREA Japan collection page, and you can compare cooling levels across editions in the menthol flavour collection.

How do you order TEREA Black Yellow Menthol in Dubai?

Add the carton to your cart and go through checkout. Orders are packed the same working day where possible, and timings and coverage are set out in our shipping and delivery policy.

This product is sold to adults only. Our age policy explains the checks we apply at checkout and at handover, and orders that fail them are cancelled.

On arrival, check the shrink wrap is intact and all 10 packs are sealed. If anything is wrong, our refund policy explains the next step.

Questions before you buy are welcome through contact us, or browse the wider TEREA sticks range to compare editions first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this just Yellow Menthol with more cooling?

Close, but not exactly. IQOS Japan describes Yellow Menthol as a refreshing menthol harmonising citrus and herb aromas, while the Black version names intensely cold menthol and a bracing citrus aroma. The herb note is not mentioned in the Black wording.

Is it the same as international TEREA Yellow?

No, and this is the mistake to avoid. International Yellow is officially a mellow tobacco blend with zesty aroma notes and contains no menthol. Black Yellow Menthol is a Japan menthol built on intensely cold menthol, so they are not substitutes.

What does Black mean on an IQOS Japan pack?

It marks the strong menthol tier. Non Black menthols are described as refreshing menthol, Black variants are described as strong menthol built on intensely cold menthol, and IQOS Japan shows more menthol marks on the Black packs.

Is there a capsule to click?

No. This is a menthol stick, not a Pearl, so there is nothing to squeeze. The cold and the citrus are in the stick from the first puff and need no click to release them.

Does the Japanese pack text matter in Dubai?

Only for reading the box. The flavour name and the health warnings are printed in Japanese, so the pack looks different from Gulf packs, but the sticks, the count and the device compatibility are identical.

How long does one carton last?

A carton holds 200 sticks. At ten sticks a day that is about twenty days, and at five a day it runs to roughly forty. Buying by the carton also means fewer reorders through the hottest months.
