Description
TEREA Mint is the gentlest cooling stick in the Japan TEREA range, sold here as a full carton of ten sealed packs. It is a heated tobacco stick for IQOS ILUMA devices, in a pack printed for Japanese retail.
It is the one menthol family stick where tobacco taste stays level with the cooling. That makes it the right starting point if full menthol sticks usually feel too strong for you.
What does TEREA Mint actually taste like?
IQOS Japan describes it as balanced mint coolness and tobacco taste. That is the whole official wording, translated from the Japanese product page.
The word balanced is doing real work there. Mint is the only stick in the Japan menthol family where IQOS Japan applies balanced to the cooling itself, rather than describing a refreshing or a strong menthol.
In plain terms, the mint is present from the first draw but it does not take over. Tobacco taste stays readable underneath instead of being buried under cold.
There is no fruit aroma named in the official text and no capsule in the stick. What you get is mint and tobacco, and IQOS Japan also shows Mint with the lowest menthol level of the whole Japan range.
This is our own tasting read of the blend. IQOS Japan shows flavour bars but publishes no numbers, so this is not an official rating.
Where does Mint sit in the Japan TEREA range?
At the bottom of the cooling ladder. IQOS Japan shows Mint with the fewest menthol marks in the Japan range and the Black sticks with the most.

| Stick | Range | Official flavour wording | Wording in the other range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mint | Japan | Balanced mint coolness and tobacco taste | Turquoise, lightly toasted tobacco blend with crisp menthol cooling and zesty aroma notes |
| Menthol | Japan | Deep menthol coolness with peppermint and creamy aromas | Blue, mellow tobacco blend with deep menthol cooling and peppermint aroma notes |
| Bright Menthol | Japan | A refreshing menthol lifted by a crisp pear aroma | No international name carries matching wording |
| Yellow Menthol | Japan | A refreshing menthol harmonising citrus and herb aromas | International Yellow is a mellow tobacco blend with zesty aroma notes, with no menthol claim |
| Black Menthol | Japan | A strong menthol woven from intensely cooling menthol and a faint green fruit aroma | No international name carries matching wording |
| Turquoise | International | Lightly toasted tobacco blend with crisp menthol cooling and zesty aroma notes | Japan Mint keeps the light cooling idea but names no zesty aroma |
There is nothing lighter than this in the Japan menthol family, so the only way from here is up. The next step is TEREA Menthol Japan, which the official wording calls deep menthol coolness with peppermint and creamy aromas.
For fruit with the cooling, TEREA Bright Menthol Japan adds crisp pear and TEREA Yellow Menthol Japan adds citrus and herb. For real cold, go to TEREA Black Menthol Japan.
What does Black mean on a Japan menthol pack?
It is a strength label, in IQOS Japan’s own words. Non Black menthol sticks are described as refreshing menthol, while Black sticks are described as strong menthol built on intensely cold menthol.
Mint is at the opposite end of that scale. If you are moving up from this stick and want the biggest jump available, the Black variants are it, and you can see them under black menthol flavours.
What does the Japan edition change?
Japan names its sticks differently from the international range. The Japan menthol family runs Mint, Menthol, Bright Menthol, Yellow Menthol, Purple Menthol, Fusion Menthol, Tropical Menthol and three Black sticks, while the international range uses Turquoise, Blue and similar colour names.
UAE shops sell both systems side by side and rarely explain the difference, which is how buyers end up with a much colder stick than they wanted. The pack here is Japanese retail stock, so the variant name and the health warnings are printed in Japanese.
On wording, Japan Mint sits near international Turquoise. Japan says balanced mint coolness and tobacco taste, and Turquoise says lightly toasted tobacco blend with crisp menthol cooling and zesty aroma notes.
Both texts point to light cooling over a readable tobacco base, but Turquoise names a zesty aroma and Mint names none. That is a wording comparison only, since IQOS publishes no official mapping between the two ranges.
To judge it yourself, compare with TEREA Turquoise Kazakhstan, or with TEREA Blue Kazakhstan if you want the deeper international menthol.
What is inside the box?
The carton weighs about 240 grams and measures roughly 162 x 75 x 47 mm, so it stores flat in a drawer.
No device, charger, cable or accessory is included. This is sticks only, so you need an ILUMA device already. If you do not have one, start at the IQOS ILUMA device range.
How do you use TEREA Mint?
There is no capsule in this stick, so there is nothing to squeeze. ILUMA devices heat from the inside with no blade, which means no cleaning sticks between sessions.
Which devices does TEREA Mint work with?
TEREA works with the IQOS ILUMA series only. That is ILUMA Standard, ILUMA One and ILUMA Prime, plus ILUMA i Standard, ILUMA i One and ILUMA i Prime.
Blade devices will not work. IQOS Originals and the 2.4 or 3 DUO family heat with a blade instead of induction, so the metal element inside a TEREA stick never heats up. Lambda devices are the same.
See the newer models in the IQOS ILUMA i device range, and the full catalogue under TEREA sticks.
Who should pick Mint, and who should skip it?
Pick it if menthol sticks usually feel harsh or numbing to you, or if you mainly want tobacco taste with a light fresh edge. It is also a sensible all day stick, because nothing about it wears you out by the tenth session.
Skip it if you want an icy hit. This is the lowest menthol level in the Japan range, and no amount of slow drawing will make it cold.
If cold is the point, buy TEREA Black Yellow Menthol Japan instead, or browse the whole family under menthol flavours and pick a higher step.
How should you store TEREA Mint in the UAE?
Mint is the first thing to fade in heat, and there is less of it here than in a full menthol stick, so storage matters. Keep the carton sealed, indoors and out of direct sun.
Never leave a pack in a parked car, on a balcony or on a windowsill in summer. A drawer at room temperature is enough, and a fridge is not needed because condensation does more harm than good.
What else is worth trying from the Japan range?
Every Japan name we stock sits in the TEREA Japan collection, so compare them there before you commit to a carton.
How do you order TEREA Mint in Dubai?
Add the carton to your cart and finish at checkout. A carton is the sensible unit if Mint is going to be your everyday stick.
Delivery timing and coverage across Dubai are set out in our shipping and delivery policy. Orders are for adults only, see our age policy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is TEREA Mint the mildest menthol in the Japan range?
Yes. IQOS Japan shows Mint with the lowest menthol level of the Japan sticks, and its official wording calls the coolness balanced rather than refreshing or strong. Everything else in the menthol family cools harder than this one.
What is the difference between Mint and Menthol in Japan?
Official wording separates them clearly. Mint is balanced mint coolness and tobacco taste, while Menthol is deep menthol coolness with peppermint and creamy aromas. Menthol is the colder and more aromatic of the two, Mint the more tobacco led.
Which international stick is Mint closest to?
On wording, international Turquoise is the nearest, since both describe light cooling over a toasted tobacco base. Turquoise also names a zesty aroma that Mint does not, and IQOS publishes no official mapping between the ranges.
Does it have a capsule to click?
No. TEREA Mint has no capsule. Only the Pearl variants, such as Sun Pearl and Oasis Pearl, have a crushable capsule, and once that capsule is squeezed the click cannot be undone.
Can I use it in an IQOS Originals or Lambda device?
No. TEREA heats by induction, so it needs an ILUMA or ILUMA i device. A blade device cannot heat the metal element inside the stick, and forcing one in risks damaging the heater.
How long does one carton last?
A carton holds 200 sticks. At ten sticks a day that is about twenty days, and at five a day around forty. Work from your own daily count, and keep unopened packs sealed until you reach them.
